Today on "Tuesday Trends" , we're talking all about wide leg cropped pants for Spring 2020. YES, you CAN wear them and we've got so many fun ways to style them. The new Crosby Dorothy Pant in Wildcat Clay is one of my absolute favorites for Spring and just arrived last week. Love the self tie sash detail at front and the subtle (yet fun!) print. It's an investment, yes, but I can promise that once you find out how insanely versatile they are , you will enjoy wearing them over and over for years to come. Definitely sure to get your money's worth!
Here's a few tops I styled them with in the pic above. I'm 5'4, size 8-10 wearing the MEDIUM.
1. Rhodes Tunic - Jungle Book - this AH-MAZING tunic is taking the internet by storm. We had already pre-sold several before they even launched. It is SERIOUSLY the cutest mixed print we've seen in a long, long time. The "Wildcat Clay" print ruffle trim pairs back perfectly with the Wildcat Clay Dorothy pant if you're the type that dares to wear aaaaaall the prints!
2. Mitchell Top - Lily White - classic, sophisticated and chic. This super soft cotton button up blouse has feminine ruffle detail at the sleeve (which is so flattering by the way and doesn't even feel as if you're wearing a "sleeveless top"! It's lightweight yet not too sheer at all. A nude bra would suffice. Tuck it into these comfy side-zip pants and you're set to accessorize with so many awesome colors (mint, teal, pops of lavender...etc...) This blouse will certainly be a workhorse in your closet this season! Always an awesome investment.
3. Louise Sweater - Light Blue - I absolutely love this super soft bubble sleeve sweater. Love pairing this sky blue back with the soft coral Dorothy Pant. It's just a great combo that you can wear to take you right into Spring when the temps may still be chilly. Think white booties for a "right on trend" look!
and even more fabulous options we think the
Dorothy Pant Wildcat Clay would look amazing with...
Lavender looks AMAZING with this fresh, light coral pant. Try the new Brooks Top in Lavender Linen by LaRoque!
especially for those with a particularly slim waistline, this would make such a flattering outfit!
"The culotte, the gaucho, the cropped wide leg—whatever you want to call fashion’s trouser du jour, it’s here to stay. For skinny-jean devotees, styling the roomier silhouette can seem tricky at first, but don’t fret—paired with an ankle boot with a comfy, walkable heel, they’re the ideal thing for spring.
Much like the midi skirt (one of our other seasonal staples), cropped pants give you the chance to show a little leg without baring it all to the elements, and the extra height added by even a modest heel makes them flattering on the leg, too. Depending on the length of the inseam, the shaft of the boot, and your height.
Once you have the shoe game on lock, the rest of the elements are really up to you: The style looks particularly sharp with a fitted jacket that hits right at the waistband, but longer trenches or heavier coats are also excellent choices. Your instinct might be to go bodysuit-tight on top to balance out the wide leg, and while that’s one way to go, as some of the following outfits prove, it’s not your only option." - stylecaster.com
