SWEET NEWS

Hey sweet friends! I have some VERY exciting news...

Most of you know I opened SUGAR in 2008 as a complete solo endeavor, growing this sweet little boutique from the ground up over the past 18 years. I've always referred to her as "my first baby" since I opened the year I got married, well before we had kids of our own.

I'm SO proud of this business I've built, full of the most amazing customers, friends and truly the sweetest community!

As I've mentioned many times before, this is a year of CHANGE and GROWTH!

With more sweet customers shopping online, near and far, we're working on expanding our online capabilities providing more inventory and options so you can get your hands on even more without it selling out so quickly.

These "growing pains" if you will, require us to eventually recreate our online and our in-store into two separate entities. This is a large undertaking and as a 42 year old mom of two sports-lovin' tween/teen boys in the busiest seasons of their little lives, I simply can not take this on alone.

All this to say, after much thoughtful consideration (really since last year) I've made the decision to sell SUGAR - placing "my first baby" into the hands of someone who I'm CONFIDENT can grow this store into something far bigger, better and much more sweeter than I  could have ever imagined!!! More details on that later...

but let me emphasize that just because we're growing online that doesn't mean our big beautiful storefront is going anywhere -- and neither am I

During this transition phase, we have big plans for not only an online glow up, but also an in-store glow up to provide you with an even sweeter shopping experience.

More inventory.
More variety.
More outfit styling.
New fabulous seating areas...

Just really fine-tuning the shop to create a space that you can continue to enjoy for years and years to come!

It really is bittersweet, the timing of it all, as I've watched so many graduates walk across the stage this month. This is really how I've compared this decision for "my baby Sugar". What happens when a child turns 18? They become an adult. They graduate high school and go off into the arms of someone else - whether that's college, a new boss, a new relationship --- above all you're so proud of how you've raised them up for 18 years and though you entrust them to someone else, you ALWAYS have their best interests at heart.

I'm so excited to bring you along for every sweet step of this journey. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for shopping small with us over the past 18 years. This "little business that could" has brought me more joy and blessings than I  could ever imagine and assure you, the very best is yet to come!!!

xoxo,
